Dennis Schroder received high praise from the Los Angeles Lakers for his performance on both ends of the floor and especially defensively.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel and big man Anthony Davis said Schroder makes several great plays offensively and plays with a lot of hustle defensively.

“Anytime a player dives on the floor for a loose ball in front of his coach, that’s going to excite the coach. We definitely look for that kind of hustle. Dennis fits in to our identity as being a really hard-playing dude,” Vogel said, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Daily.

“He made some big shots, he made some big plays. … He’s making big plays for us. … He’s doing everything for us,” Davis added.

Schroder is averaging 13.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists this season, with the Lakers being at 17-6 in the standings.
