Matthew Dellavedova says ‘retirement not on his mind at all right now’, despite concussion setbacks

Matthew Dellavedova took to Twitter to comment on the rumors of choosing to retire due to concussion setbacks, as reported previously by Joe Vardon and Kelsey Russo of The Athletic.

“Retirement is not on my mind at all right now. Only focus is getting healthy and back with the boys to help make a playoff push. Cavs are playing good basketball and I’m definitely looking forward to being a part of what is getting built here…”

Dellavedova has yet to play this season since suffering a concussion on Dec. 12. He averaged 3.1 points, 3.2 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 57 games with Cleveland last season.

The guard from Australia is hoping to return to full health soon, however it’s still unclear when he will be able to return to the court.
