Lakers need to fix this issue to be a championship team, per Skip Bayless

The Los Angeles Lakers earned their 17th win of the season by defeating the Denver Nuggets at Staples Center. Despite the slow start, the defending NBA champions were able to take control in the second half to seal the deal. Even though the Lakers won, sports analyst Skip Bayless saw an issue that needs to be fixed for them to contend for a title again.

According to the co-host of UNDISPUTED, it’s the lack of force inside the paint as he pointed at the Nuggets outrebounding the Lakers 29-16 in the first half.

Bayless called Marc Gasol ‘ground-bound’ and his movement ‘glacial’, saying he is not an adequate replacement for Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee.

“The 2nd half was the best home half the Lakers have played all year. They looked spectacular on both ends of the floor. But the Lakers are empty in the middle and they need to rectify that if they’re going to be a championship team,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.
