Joel Embiid provided an update on his knee injury that he suffered in a game against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Cameroonian center had to leave the arena during the game because of it.
However, after assessing the injury, he was allowed to continue the game and returned to the court in the first quarter.
The three-time NBA All-Star did not seem to be bothered by the injury as he racked up 37 points for another MVP-level performance. That wasn’t enough as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 121-105.
“I was pretty concerned. You never want to mess with any injuries, especially the knee. As the game kept going, I felt good. I mean, I wasn’t all there but I was trying to push through it. Let’s see how it feels tomorrow morning, but I think I should be good,” Embiid said per Rich Hofmann.
