Jeremy Lin becomes first Asian-American with signature shoe

Jeremy Lin has made history becoming the first Asian-American with a signature basketball shoe, releasing the Xtep JLIN ONE.

A Bleacher Report ‘Unboxed’ video with Lin, showcased the release of his signature shoes.

Xtep are the number 1 company in China for shoes and wanted to branch into basketball, so it was perfect to collaborate with Jeremy Lin to create his first signature shoe.

The JLIN ONE has six colour ways and has been released onto the Xtep website, alongside other JLIN gear.

Lin has been a key player for the Beijing Ducks over the last year, but has made the choice to pursue his NBA dreams once again.

In 39 games for the Ducks, Lin averaged 22.3 points per game, the highest scorer on the team. In addition to this he pulled in 5.7 rebounds and dished out 5.6 assists per game. Lin was by the far the major factor on a team that finished third in the Chinese Basketball Association. He finished with 891 points in the 39 games and shot 49% from the field.

Now, Lin is in the NBA G league bubble with the Santa Cruz Warriors and is looking to make a push back to the NBA.

Playing in the NBA last came for Lin in 2019, when he was on the NBA Championship winning Toronto Raptors roster. However, has been out of the league since then.

The NBA G League is the chance for Lin to prove he can still play at the NBA level.

The NBA G League season kicks off on 10 February at Disney.
