Steve Nash confident the Nets ‘can be a solid defensive team at minimum’

Since the arrival of James Harden, the Brooklyn Nets turned into the worst defensive team in the NBA. In their recent win, the Nets allowed 120 points from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Brooklyn’s head coach Steven Nash sees room for improvement for his team on the defensive end. However, having three superstar scorers on the roster in Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving, on some occasions the firepower alone can be enough to win some games.

“If we bring that every night, we may not profile as a great defensive team. But we can be a solid defensive team at minimum and take care of the things we can control,” Nash said per Mark Medina of USA Today.

“And they have to guard us as well. So I think we have a lot of work to do on that end of the floor. But I don’t want to make any sort of predictions.”
