Jimmy Butler registers 10,000th career point, 3,000th rebound on return vs. Kings

And counting...

Jimmy Butler scored his 10,000th career point as an NBA player upon his return against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. The All-Star forward had missed 10 consecutive games for the Miami Heat due to coronavirus-related issues but hit the ground running, scoring 20 in the first half of the contest.

Butler moved past the 10,000 mark in the second quarter, playing out his usual mix of high-power offense and stingy defense. The 31-year-old is averaging 17.0 points a game this season but scored a quick 20 in one half on his much-awaited comeback. He headed into the second half with 10,002 career points to his name.

Butler would also pull down his 3,000th rebound in the third quarter of the game.
