The Cleveland Cavaliers have been ravaged by injuries at the start of the season, but they kept being competitive with a surprising 9-9 record at the first 18 games of their campaign.
The Cavs are still missing Kevin Love, who nurtures a calf injury that occurred in the past offseason. Cleveland’s head coach shared a minor update on Love’s injury situation.
(via Chris Fedor of cleveland.com):
“He’s doing light stuff on the court now and our expectation is he’ll do even more,” J.B. Bickerstaff said Thursday evening. “Then we’ll get a fair judge of where he is once he gets on the floor.”
Love has missed 15 straight games — and 16 overall — because of the calf issue. He aggravated his injury during the preseason opener in Detroit.
According to Fedor, the Cavs are expected to provide an update the coming week, however a specific target date for Love’s return in not known — yet.
