Paris’ chances of a Last 32 place improve, Rytas do double over Partizan, Eurocup round up

Paris Levallois’ chances of progression to the Last 32 of the Eurocup improved with a 90-87 win over Zaragoza in Group A.

Blake Schilb starred with 25 points and Mike Green amassed 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners, who improved to 3-3. Zaragoza dropped to 2-4 with the loss.

Paris coach Gregor Beugnot though is aware that his side must win all remaining games in order to seal their qualification.

“We have to win all our games in Paris to qualify to the Last 32,” he said. “All our games at home will be important. It’s good to get the win tonight. We fought hard and that’s the most important thing.”

Virtus Rome remained top of Group C with a 100-69 rout of Spirou Charleroi in the Italian capital.

Leading 13-0 in the first few minutes, Rome never experienced much of a fightback from their Belgian counterparts, as they move to 5-1 in the group. Charleroi drop further down the Group C table to 1-5.

Bobby Jones led seven Rome scorers in double figures with 19 points. Dylan Page led Spirou with 16 points.

Antanas Kavaliauskas scored 23 points as he led Lietuvos Rytas to an 85-76 win at Partizan Belgrade.

Rytas improved to 5-1, while dropping Partizan to 1-5 in Group E, The Lithuanians have now done the double over their old rivals who they are used to playing in the Euroleague.
