Kevin Punter was the top scorer for the hosts with 27 points staying perfect from inside (4/4) while firing 4/8 triples. Malcolm Delaney was also a crucial player for Milan scoring 16 points. For Olympiacos, Sasha Vezenkov’s double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds was not enough, while Kostas Sloukas had 17 points.

Olympiacos found their fluency early in the third quarter, taking the lead down to 5 points after moving the ball properly and playing as a team. They took advantage of Milan’s turnovers, they stole the ball and scored. On the other hand, Armani was too hard to die with Gigi Datome leading the Italians to extend their lead to double digits (58-48). Olympiacos committed consecutive turnovers which is not something that a coach would like to see with his team attempting a comeback. Olympiacos took it down again to 3 points with Kostas Sloukas with three minutes until the end of the quarter remaining (60-57). The Italians managed to keep a short lead and extend it a bit later, playing great defense and scoring from all over the court. Olympiacos was trapped but was not ready to give up on the game. 7-point lead for Armani with every possession and every ball matter.
