The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly in active talks to trade for JaVale McGee, while they are also having an interest in acquiring Kevin Love, according to Jason Dumas.

After the James Harden blockbuster trade, the Nets are lacking depth, especially in their frontcourt. McGee could be a great addition to the Nets’ star-studded roster. He averages 8.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest this season.

McGee seems a more realistic option for the Nets as he fits perfectly to the $5.9M DPE exception Brooklyn received a few days ago. Cleveland is also looking to trade both Kevin Love and Andre Drummond for draft capital, according to Dumas.

Drummond’s current $28.75 million contract ends at the end of the 2020-21 season. Kevin Love has another three years on the $120M extension he signed last season.
