Reggie Miller to Steph Curry after passing him in all-time career three-pointers: “You are an inspiration to so many”

It was a special day for Steph Curry despite the Golden State Warriors’ blowout loss to the Utah Jazz, who won their eighth straight game.

Curry made five threes to add to his total and reach the 2,562 mark. Miller finished his career with 2,560 three-point makes being the second best shooter in the history of the league until Saturday night.

Curry is now trailing only the great Ray Allen, who has 2,973 career threes. With the former two-time MVP being 31, it’s only a matter of time, before he becomes the all-time leader in three-point makes.

After the game vs. Utah, Reggie Miller appeared with his son Ryker wearing a Curry jersey and call the Warriors’ superstar an inspiration to the little ones.

“You are an inspiration to so many little ones, like mine,” Miller said. “And I’m just so proud of all the work because I know what goes into that. I know the countless hours when it’s easy to go hang with your boys, hit the club, sleep, do other things, but you’re in the lab getting your work done.”

Curry scored a game-high 24 points Saturday on 9-of-18 shooting from the field and 5-of-10 from the three-point range. He was the lone bright spot for the Warriors, who found themselves losing by 40 during the Saturday’s game vs. Utah.
