Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose and injuries go hand-in-hand. He looked good, yet cautious at the FIBA World Cup and this season has literally been treading on eggshells [more cautious than ever if you didn’t get that]. But is D-Rose thinking ahead another worry for Bulls fans?
D-ROSE THINKING ABOUT LIFE AFTER HOOPS
Rose is quite understandably taking a very cautious approach with his latest comeback from injury. He won’t even dunk for a magazine photoshoot. That cautious.
But something that would concern the Bulls nation a bit more is the 2011 MVP’s mindset. Is he focused enough?

I wasn’t sore,” Rose said following Tuesday’s practice. “Those days off helped me just with everything, letting the areas calm down in my ankle and my foot and giving me the reassurance that everything was fine.”
Rose returned to lead the victory over the Pistons after missing four of the last five games to sprained ankles. He had said following the victory in Milwaukee that he learned he could impact the game without playing at 100 percent. […] But Rose didn’t feel right after the Milwaukee effort and missed two more games. It has been clear from the first day of training camp that Rose and the organization are taking a big-picture approach to his health after missing two seasons to knee injuries.
“I feel I’ve been managing myself pretty good,” Rose said. “I know a lot of people get mad when they see me sit out. But I think a lot of people don’t understand that when I sit out it’s not because of this year. I’m thinking about long-term. I’m thinking about after I’m done with basketball, having graduations to go to, having meetings to go to. I don’t want to be in my meetings all sore or be at my son’s graduation all sore just because of something I did in the past. Just learning and being smart.”
RICK ROSS: 100K MIAMI ARE BETTER THAN CAVS THIS YEAR

In a recent radio interview with HOT97′s Funk Flex, MMG rapper and Miami native Rick Ross was asked his thoughts on LeBron James leaving the Heat and returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers this summer in free agency. Ross, understandably, says he was upset and confused when he first heard the news. He adds that he would “never” have returned to Cleveland if he were in LeBron’s shoes.
Ross goes on to say he still loves LeBron, even calling him “one of the greatest if not the greatest ever,” but says he “brings a lot of baggage, too.”
Near the end of the clip above, Ross predicts the Heat will finish ahead of the Cavs, and he’s willing to put up $100K his money up if anyone wants to take the bet: “We most definitely finishing better than the Cavaliers. I’ll put a 100 grand on that.” Any takers?
It’ll be close. It’s something we at TB spoke about a lot, while in Spain for the World Cup and in daily chats. Cavs though might just nick it. Chicago for the top seed in the East though.

Away from his misses, Kobe Bryant has said that New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis can be one of the best power forwards ever.
