Boston Celtics’ Payton Pritchard is expected to return to on-court activities in approximately two weeks after an MRI revealed a Grade 1 sprain of his right MCL, the team announced.
Teammate Jaylen Brown fell into Pritchard’s knee after a play in the first quarter of the team’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 22.
Pritchard was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The 22-year-old rookie has played in all 14 games this season, averaging 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.
The Celtics are also still without star Jayson Tatum, as he hasn’t played since Jan. 8 after testing positive for COVID-19.
