Kyrie Irving calls back-to-back Nets’ losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers ‘humbling’

The Brooklyn Nets suffered another loss in the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday to end their mini-road trip with a 0-2 record.

The Nets could not handle JB Bickerstaff’s team inside the paint as the Cavs had 21 more rebounds than their opponents, who racked up 64 points in the paint.

After Nets’ second loss in a row, Kyrie Irving, who, in his second game back, registered 38 points shooting 14-of-24 from the field and 4-of-9 from the three-point range, called those defeats humbling.

(via ESPN’s Malika Andrews):

“This was two humbling losses,” Kyrie Irving said. The Nets have allowed 125 points in the paint in the last two losses showing a lack of urgency on the defensive end.

Brooklyn will return to Barclays Center for the next two games, where they set to face the Miami Heat in hope of putting an end to a two-game losing skid.
