Kyle Lowry is unable to help his team in tonight’s matchup against the Miami Heat. The veteran leader has a minor foot injury, Nick Nurse announced Friday.

Lowry averages 18.2 points, 7.1 assists and 6.5 rebounds in 2020-21 being one of the most stable performers for the slumping Raptors this season.

Lowry’s leadership was vital through the last three successful campaigns of the franchise that included one NBA title on the 2018-19 season.

With the 34-year-old All-Star out, expect Fred VanVleet to serve as the primary facilitator for the Raptors, who started the season with just five wins in the first 13 games of the regular season.
