Derrick Rose has started slow the 2020/21 campaign, as the slumping Detroit Pistons are trying to integrate their young core under new general manager Troy Weaver.

Rose has scored over 20 points in just two games this season as the Pistons started their campaign with just three wins in their first 12 games.

The league’s 2011 MVP scored 23 points on 66.7% from the field, making three of his five attempts from beyond the arc in Pistons’ 100-120 win over the Miami Heat.

He followed Jerami Grant, who had a team-high 24 points to help the Pistons win consecutive games for the first time this season.

Rose had also four assists and four steals to go with his efficient scoring performance. The Pistons and the Heat meet again on Monday.

After an excellent 2019/20 campaign, the 32-years old veteran guard has a slow start this year. He is averaging almost three points (14.9) less in contrast with his 2019 campaign average (18.1) shooting just 43.0% from the field and 34.6 from beyond the arc.
