The undermanned Philadelphia 76ers could not secure a win away from home in the matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

The Sixers’ head coach Doc Rivers called out his team’s sloppy play and deemed Philadelphia did not deserve to win the game.

(via Ky Carlin of USA Today Sports):

“It’s not who played tonight. For me, it was how we played. I thought we were a sloppy basketball team and when you play that way, you deserve to lose the game.”

Joel Embiid was not with the team due to a minor knee issue, while Seth Curry remained out due to the league’s health and safety protocols.

The Sixers had 22 turnovers on Saturday’s showdown, while the Grizzlies, who won their fourth straight, had only eleven in 48 minutes of basketball.

Philadelphia lost for the fourth time in the last six outings. The Sixers will conclude their back-to-back road trip in the West against the Thunder on Sunday.
