Kyrie Irving will not be available for the Brooklyn Nets matchup against the Orlando Magic on Saturday due to NBA’s health and safety protocols.

Irving missed the last three games of his team because of personal reasons. He has been fined $50,000 for violating COVID-19 protocols as the league announced earlier today.

Irving apparently attended a private indoor party for his sister’s birthday last week and has been subject to a five-day quarantine period.

According to ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Irving is eager to return to action, but his time away from the game is requiring ‘a period of ramping up basketball activities.’

Irving is averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 33.0 minutes per game this season.
