Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker was a full participant in Thursday’s practice for an hour, head coach Brad Stevens announced.

“His strengthening has gone fantastic,” Stevens said when asked about Walker. “He’s put in a ton of work. He went full-go today for an hour with us.”

Walker, who has been recovering from a lingering knee injury, will not play in the team’s next game on Jan. 15 against the Orlando Magic, but he is getting closer to a return to game action.

The 30-year-old remains without a timetable, but he reportedly has a chance to return next week at the earliest.

Walker is proud and impressed of how his team has played so far this season.

“Those guys have really been holding the fort down and absolutely killing it … I’m hoping to come back and add onto that,” said Walker.
