The NBA announced the postponement of Friday’s Warriors versus Suns game in accordance with the league’s health and safety protocols.

After contract tracing, the Suns won’t have the league required eight players against the Warriors. The Suns contest against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday was also postponed.

Throughout the 2020/21 campaign, nine NBA games have been delayed due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Although Friday’s matchup has been postponed, the Warriors are still slated to play the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

After three days off, Steve Kerr’s team will return to the court to face the defending champions Los Angeles Lakers on Monday at Staples Center.

The Warriors are coming off a loss to the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday having a 6-5 record at the start of the season. On the other hand, the Suns played their last game on Tuesday vs. the Washington Wizards.
