Sixers’ Dwight Howard reacts to Danny Green’s big night vs. Miami

The Philadelphia 76ers were missing important rotational pieces in Tuesday’s Eastern Conference showdown against the Miami Heat.

After a close-fought game in Philadelphia, the Sixers won against the depleted Miami Heat to put a stop in a three-game losing streak.

Embiid was the best performer for the winning side (45 points, 16 rebounds), but Danny Green also played an important part for his team. Green put up a career-high nine threes to finish the game with 29 points.

“I always believe in Danny every time he shoots the ball,” said Dwight Howard who followed Green from Los Angeles to Philadelphia the past offseason.

“Look at his right arm when he shoots. He has a target on so every time I see that? I feel like it’s gonna go in and I have total confidence in him.”

“One of the reasons why we won the game is because of the big play he made, two big plays he made late in the game,” Howard continued. “Danny is amazing and I’m super proud and happy for him. Mr three rings, that’s what we call him.”

The Sixers are still missing Tobias Harris, Seth Curry and Shake Milton due to the league’s health and safety protocols. They will face the Miami Heat again on Thursday at Wells Fargo Center.
