Celtics-Magic game on Wednesday postponed

The game between the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic on Jan. 13 has been postponed, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Magic and Celtics were scheduled to play Jan. 13 and Jan. 15 in Boston, but the Magic won’t be traveling today and it is immediately unclear the status of the Friday game, notes Wojnarowski.

The Celtics already had their game against the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 12 postponed, as they are still short of the league-required eight players.

This is now the third game in a row postponed for the Celtics out of the five total games that the league has postponed this season.

On the last injury report, the Celtics had nine players out.

Two players, Kemba Walker and Romeo Langford, are out with injuries, while seven others are out due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

That left the team with eight available players, but in light of recent postponements, the Celtics have all but certainly had more enter protocols, notes ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.
