The Portland Trail Blazers prevailed in a hard-fought battle against the Toronto Raptors (111-112), climbing back from a 17-point deficit.
The Blazers scoring guard CJ McCollum played a huge role for his team in crunch time hitting the go-ahead basket with 9.6 seconds remaining in the regulation.
In the post-game media session, McCollum compared himself to a shark, after putting up 30 points on a 10-19 shooting night.
“Sharks just go hunt. They don’t worry about things, they never worry about where they’re gonna get their next meal. They don’t worry about anything. And that’s how I live my life.”
McCollum also had five threes, six rebounds and five assists along with a huge shot over Toronto’s Fred VanFleet. After Monday’s night win, the Blazers improved to 6-4.
They are set to face Sacramento on Wednesday and Indiana on Thursday in the first series of back-to-back games this season.
