Mavericks have two additional players test positive for COVID-19

Four Dallas Mavericks have tested positive for COVID-19 after two more rotation players tested positive Monday, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon and Zach Lowe.

None of the players have been publicly named due to privacy issues, but it was implied that Maxi Kleber was one of the positive tests, as he was required to quarantine for 10-14 days.

Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson are also out due to health and safety protocols, as one of them tested positive, while the other two were considered close contacts after contact tracing.

The NBA postponed the game between the Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans on Jan. 11 due to ongoing contact tracing that left the Mavericks without the required eight players.

The Mavericks’ next game against the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 13 could also be in jeopardy.
