Andrew Wiggins finally found the most suitable role for him in the NBA since he was traded to the Golden State Warriors last season.

After a close-fought victory vs. the Toronto Raptors, the former No.1 overall pick said that he is trying to change the narrative on the defensive side claiming he is very happy to be part of the Warriors’ culture.

“Just trying to make a statement. Just trying to change that narrative,” the Canadian said on his improved defense. “I’m having fun. This is great Warriors basketball. Great culture over here, great vibe.”

Steve Kerr’s team was able to a scrape victory despite Steph Curry’s off night(2-16 FG) vs. Toronto. Wiggins had a team-high 17 points with four assists and four blocks.

Golden State left behind the bad start of the 2020/21 campaign having six wins in its last eight games (6-2 record) since they fell to 0-2.
