CJ McCollum exploded for 37 points in the Portland Trail Blazers’ Saturday win over the Sacramento Kings. With that performance, the veteran guard passed Rasheed Wallace on the franchise’s all-time scorers list, taking the 10th spot.

McCollum is also leading the league in most games this season with over six threes becoming more and more efficient from beyond the arc.

“Sheed is a great player who had a tremendous career & I have a lot of respect for him. To be able to accomplish something like that is definitely special.”

The Blazers’ scoring guard is looking forward to improving in that regard and score more for the Blazers, especially from the three-point range.

In nine games this season, McCollum makes a career-high 4.9 threes per contest attempting an also career-high of 11.0 shots per game from beyond the arc.

(via SB Nation):

“I’m still leaving points out there, missing some open shots, but I’ll get back into the lab, kinda tighten some things up, continue to try to be efficient, y’know, I’ll get about ten a game on great nights, I should be making eight, and on decent nights, I should hit in the four to seven range.”
