Mavericks’ Maxi Kleber in self-isolation

Dallas Mavericks forward Maxi Kleber is entering self-isolation and will miss 10-to-14 days due to COVID-19 protocols, according to Shams Charania.

The Mavericks practice facility has been shut down after the team’s second positive test in three days, according to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon.

It’s unknown if Kleber was the second positive test or if he was placed in isolation due to contact tracing.

Kleber joins teammates Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith and Josh Richardson on the health and safety protocol list.

More contact tracing is being done now, MacMahon adds.

Brunson, Finney-Smith or Richardson registered the first positive COVID-19 test, while the other two were out due to contact tracing.

That positive test came after the team’s game against the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 7.

In nine games this season, Kleber is averaging 7.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in 24.3 minutes per game.
