Dennis Schroder received high praise from his former head coach in the Oklahoma City Thunder, Billy Donovan.
Donovan (the current head coach of the Chicago Bulls) coached Schroder for two years in OKC and the two will meet for the first time on Friday, when the Lakers host the Bulls.
“I thought he was incredibly valuable to us. He’s obviously capable of being a starter. Highly competitive, smart basketball player, continues to get better.
Dennis Schroder is all about winning. He’s incredibly competitive,” Donovan said, via Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.
Schroder joined the Lakers via trade from the Thunder in the offseason.
