All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving’s status for Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder is still unknown. Irving was not available for the Brooklyn Nets’ showdown with the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, having missed his team’s win due to an undisclosed personal reason.

He did not travel to Memphis for Friday night’s game against the Grizzlies and, according to Malika Andrews of ESPN, isn’t a guarantee to play on Sunday either.

The Nets have been without Kevin Durant for the last two games courtesy of a quarantine period – tonight’s contest will take that number to three – but Steve Nash will hope to have the two-time champion back on Sunday.

“I think Kevin’s situation is that if he continues to test negative, he can play Sunday, that’s all I have on that,” the head coach said on Thursday. “Can’t wait for Sunday to come.”
