Jaylen Brown summed up on the situation in Washington with a statement about the different way police enforcers faced the pro-Trump mob that breached the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

“There is two split different Americas,” Brown said. “In one America, you get killed by sleeping in your car, selling cigarettes or playing in your backyard. In another America, you get to storm the Capitol, and no tear gas, no massive arrests, none of that.”

The Celtics claimed a huge victory against their Eastern Conference rivals Miami Heat, but basketball was an after-thought due to the unprecedented situation in Washington.

The statement came after the Celtics defeated the Miami Heat 107-105 in a game that was delayed so the teams could set a joint statement to address the violence in the Capitol and the decision of Kenosha District Attorney to not file charges against the police officers responsible for the shooting of Jacob Blake.
