Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz suffered a torn left ACL and will miss the rest of the season, the team announced.

Fultz suffered the non-contact injury in the first quarter of the team’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair.

It’s a brutal blow for the 22-year-old and the Magic.

Fultz has dealt with injuries in his career, as he previously battled a shoulder injury that affected his shooting and was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS).

He was averaging 14.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists in seven games.

Rookie guard Cole Anthony will step into a bigger role for the Magic for the rest of the season.
