LeBron James wants to put ownership group in place to buy WNBA’s Atlanta Dream

LeBron James has voiced his intention to put an ownership group together to purchase WNBA team, the Atlanta Dream, following the results of the senate vote in Georgia.

Tuesday’s projections indicated that Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock beat out Kelly Loeffler for a United States Senate seat, with the results likely to become official this Wednesday. The victory will mark the first time a black candidate gets to represent Georgia in the senate.

The results are admittedly shocking but could have been partly influenced by WNBA players wearing “VOTE WARNOCK” shirts during their bubble period in Florida.

With Loeffler now seemingly out of a job, James intends to make sure the co-owner cannot return to the Dream and, in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, tweeted as much.

James has already garnered support from Dream guard Renee Montgomery, who’s told the Los Angeles Lakers superstar she’s ready whenever he is.
