Patrick Beverley on if Kawhi Leonard made the right decision at the end of the game against Spurs

Kawhi Leonard passed out a potential game-tying jumper on the baseline for the Luke Kennard’s 3-pointer in the last seconds of the Clippers-Spurs game.

Kennard missed the shot and the Clippers conceded a 116-113 defeat to the San Antonio Spurs. After the game, Patrick Beverley talked on Leonard’s decision claiming that he made the right play in this occasion.

“He’s one of the greatest players to ever play basketball. He made the right play,” Beverley replied to the reporters after Tuesday’s loss.

Leonard was in the zone the last five minutes of the game, after the Clippers rallied from a 19-point half time deficit. The two-time Finals’ MVP scored the final 11 points of the Clippers, but preferred to pass it in his teammate for the last shot of the game with his team down three.

Leonard finished the contest with a game-high 30 points and a team-high 10 rebounds on Tuesday’s loss. Paul George was out for the game due to an ankle injury.

The Clippers are facing the Golden State Warriors next at Chase Center in a midweek double-header on Wednesday and Friday.
