Timberwolves’ Josh Okogie ruled out Tuesday

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Josh Okogie will not be available against the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 5, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Okogie went through shootaround and head coach Ryan Saunders is “hopeful” that he plays against the Portland Trail Blazers on Jan. 7.

This will be the third game in a row missed for Okogie due to a strained left hamstring.

In three games, the 22-year-old is averaging 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.

Saunders has had to alter the starting lineup with injuries to Okogie and Karl-Anthony Towns, who is dealing with a dislocated left wrist that he suffered on Dec. 26.
