In this VladTV clip, a four-time NBA champion John Salley opened up about the Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo being named the MVP of the NBA two years in a row, which led to the Giannis vs. LeBron James comparison.
Salley pointed out that Antetokounmpo is an international face, which benefits the NBA’s global exposure, but John thinks LeBron James should’ve been given the award for this last season.
Moving along, John reacted to Giannis signing a five-year, $228 million contract, which he says isn’t far off from the $36 million a year that Shaquille O’Neal was making.
In the end, Salley turned his attention to James Harden, who he believes will stay in Houston because of his popularity in China. He also compares Harden to Dennis Rodman.
