Luka Doncic will need many years to reach Dirk Nowitzki’s status in the Dallas Mavericks’ organization, however he already surpassed the future Hall of Famer in a particular category.

More specifically, Doncic led the Mavericks in points, rebounds, and assists in Monday’s win over the Houston Rockets recording his first triple-double of the season.

This was the 39th time in his career that he has led Dallas in all three categories, marking a new franchise record, as he passed Dirk Nowitzki, who did that 38 times during the span of his career.

Doncic is a generational talent, and it’s almost certain that he could have a huge impact in the history of the Dallas’ franchise, like Nowitzki did for many years.

The Slovenian superstar was on a roll during the Mavericks’ win over the Houston Rockets Monday, registering a triple-double with 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists.
