At the start of the season, Luka Doncic was not seemed himself being literally not basketball-ready. The Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle explained the situation with the young superstar.
“His preparation schedule was thrown off, and he just got behind the curve. It’s pretty clear now that he’s working his way back to where he needs to be,” Carlisle said, via Callie Caplan of Dallas Morning News.
Doncic, who started the season as one of the favorites to win the MVP award, recorded his first triple-double of the season and his 26th of his career in the Mavs’ win over the Rockets on Monday.
He had a monster stat line of 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists to lead the Mavericks to their third win since the start of the regular season.
