John Wall has returned to his previous form, after a two-year layoff due to injury. The Houston Rockets point guard had a great performance against the Sacramento Kings Saturday to confirm exactly that.

Wall scored 28 points and shared six assists to lead the Rockets to the win over Sacramento in the absence of James Harden.

Wall scored a total of 50 points in his first two games back, after returning in action. The last player to do that was the Washington Wizards’ Michael Jordan.

Wall, who was traded from Washington to Houston the last offseason in exchange for Russell Westbrook, has a perfect start in his career with the Rockets.

In particular, he averages 22 points, 9.0 assists and 6.0 rebounds in his first two games with the organization. Wall could become Houston’s actual bid for James Harden to remain with the franchise for now.

If the All-Star continues his incredible resurgence alongside the incredible play of Christian Wood, the Rockets could certainly be a contending team this season.
