Karl-Anthony Towns endured a huge family tragedy during 2020, as he lost his beloved mother due to COVID-19 complications last May.

The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar was hit hard by the pandemic, as seven members of his family passed away because of the novel coronavirus.

It’s clear that Towns has been through a lot during 2020. As a result, he said his farewell to last year with a short tweet consisted of two words.

Towns is on the sidelines due to a wrist injury, which was occurred the previous week in the game against the Utah Jazz.

Towns averaged 19 points, 11.5 rebounds, and five assists in the first two games for the Wolves. Since his injury, Minnesota is on a two-game losing streak.
