The defending NBA champions Los Angeles Lakers played their first road game of the season as they visited San Antonio to face the Spurs. The Purple & Gold came out with a win as they improved their record to 3-2.

Ten players for the Lakers scored points with six of them finishing the game with 10 or more. Anthony Davis, who had 20 points on the night, talked about what helped his team take down the Spurs.

“I think we came out pretty good defensively. We were able to get stops and run, cover for each other, help. We’re still fouling too much which is putting guys on the line which don’t wanna do,” Davis said.

“In order for us to be the team want to be, we need got to continue but we need to stop fouling. We’re still learning. I think we came out with a little bit more energy and discipline on the defensive end.”
