University of Memphis guard Jayden Hardaway & the NBA’s Collin Sexton once met up in an intense high school game back in 2016.
This particular game involved a moment where Collin called Jayden “trash” in front of his father Penny, who was coaching on the sideline.
Penny recently looked back on the matchup and defended his son by bringing up a very good point about what it takes to win at the highest levels of basketball.

“Hopefully he learned from that and understood, especially on the next level where he is now, what role players really mean to the game. Role players are a huge part of what you do on the next level as well. Some people are comfortable with who they are, and my son is very comfortable with who he is.”
