Blake Griffin left Tuesday’s night game between the Detroit Pistons and Golden State Warriors due to an inadvertent hit from James Wiseman.

According to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, the veteran forward entered the NBA concussion protocol, after exiting the game.

Griffin faced many injury issues during his NBA career. However, he won Rookie of the Year for the 2010-11 season and proceeded to earn six All-Star selections since being selected first overall in the 2009 Draft.

The veteran forward missed most of the last season with a knee injury. In case of Griffin’s absence, the Pistons are going to use more of the young frontcourt, namely Sekou Doumbouya and rookie Isaiah Stewart.

Griffin is a valuable piece of the Pistons’ squad, as a mentor and a veteran leader for his younger teammates.
