The Los Angeles Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder reacted to the reports that he entered into contract extension talks with the defending NBA champions.

Even though the German point guard rejected the initial offer from the Lakers, he expressed desire to sing an extension. However, the deal must be fair to both sides, he said.

“I would love to. It’s just got to be fair on both sides,” Schroder said when talking about extending his deal with the Lakers, per Dan Woike.

Schroder is currently on a four-year, $70 million contract which expires at the end of this season. He is set to earn $15.5 million this year.
