The Houston Rockets are facing multiple eligibility issues with several players possibly being exposed to COVID-19. According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall are among the players that are facing a 7-day quarantine.

The news are surfacing only a day after the Rockets were forced to postpone their season-opening match against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In particular, at least three Rockets’ players have received positive or inconclusive test results before the opening night. The first COVID-19 crisis in the NBA came early for Adam Silver and the league with Houston being unable to have eight active players, due to the league’s contract tracers that ruled out several other members of the team.

At the top of that, James Harden has allegedly attended a Christmas party earlier this week and was fined for violating league’s health and safety protocols.

As of now, the Rockets are expected to begin their season against the Portland Trail Blazers Saturday night. Whether Harden, Wall, or Cousins will join their teammates, however, is unclear.
