Donovan Mitchell on Rudy Gobert dominating the Blazers: “We didn’t run one play for him and he still got 20 and [17]”

Donovan Mitchell was impressed by the performance of Rudy Gobert in the season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Mitchell and Gobert combined for 40 points, as the Utah Jazz dominated the Blazers on the road (120-100).

“We didn’t run one play for him and still got 20 and (17),” Mitchell said, via Eric Walden of the Salt Lake Tribune.

Gobert had 20 points (8/10 shooting) and 17 rebounds in the game, while Mitchell added 20 as well (6/16 shooting, 4/10 from beyond the arc) and five assists.
