The Knicks’ first half against Indiana in the opening game had given New York fans hope. In particular, it seemed to be RJ Barrett’s perfect night. In the first half, Barrett dropped 20 points for the first time in his career. He finished Wednesday’s game with 26 points and eight rebounds.
In the second half, however, both he and the Knicks slowed down. Indiana came back much more aggressive as Barrett himself confirmed: “I think they played harder in the second half. I think we had a really good first half overall. They just came out even more aggressive in the second,” Barrett said.
