LeBron James spent just 28 minutes on the floor during the season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers.
James finished with 22 points (7/17 shooting, 3/8 from beyond the arc), five rebounds and five assists in 28 minutes of action.
Per Lakers PR, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Daily, 28 minutes played were the fewest LeBron James has ever played in a season opener in his NBA career.
James said Lakers head coach Frank Vogel and his trainer decided to keep him out of action in the fourth quarter, due to an ankle injury he sustained earlier in the game.
