Washington Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook says he won’t be on any minutes restrictions for the team’s first game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Dec. 23.

Westbrook rested for the first two preseason games before playing 17 minutes in the preseason finale.

Head coach Scott Brooks recently said that the team would avoid playing Westbrook, 32, in back-to-back games this season to protect their newly acquired star from potential injuries.

The Wizards first back-to-back set will be against the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 31 and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Jan. 1.
