Rudy Gobert and the Utah Jazz could not come to an agreement, as the Frenchman rejected Utah’s max offer contract extension, per Porter Larsen of ESPN.

Instead, Gobert wants the Jazz to offer him the supermax. Gobert, one of the best defensive bigs in the league, could become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

He made the All-Star team for the first time last season. The center registered 15.1 points, 13.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game last season.

The Jazz ended up the last season in disappointing note as they got eliminated by the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs, after losing a 3-1 lead in the series.

Gobert put up 16.9 points, 11.4 boards and 1.4 blocks per contest in seven postseason games, but that was not enough for the Utah Jazz.
